University of Kentucky College of Engineering, Paducah Campus

Students in Western Kentucky are taking advantage of a phenomenal educational opportunity that’s available close to home. The University of Kentucky, in collaboration with West Kentucky Community and Technical College, offers studies leading to bachelor’s degrees from UK in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Computer Engineering Technology. The Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering programs, initiated in 1997 and are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.

Western Kentucky Community and Technical College

Western Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) is dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible education that supports both personal and professional growth. Located in Paducah, WKCTC offers a diverse array of programs including advanced manufacturing, health sciences, information technology, business management, and construction technology. K-12 Education

Marshall County School District

Located in the scenic western part of Kentucky, near the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, the Marshall County School District serves approximately 4,500 students with a commitment to educational excellence and holistic development.

The district invests significantly in its students, with a spending per pupil of $17,516. This investment supports a robust academic environment where 98.8% of high school students engage in advanced coursework, including Advanced Placement (AP) and Dual-Credit courses.

The educational philosophy is anchored in a graduate profile that emphasizes essential qualities for personal and professional success. Those are: communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, character, and citizenship.

Marshall County Technical Center

The Marshall County Technical Center is proud to offer a diverse array of technical programs. Students have the opportunity to earn Industry Certificates in various fields such as Agriculture, Auto Body, Biomedical, Carpentry, Electrical, EKG Technician, Network Administration, Phlebotomy, Pre-Nursing, Web-Page Design, and Welding. This hands-on experience equips them with practical skills for the future.

Healthcare

Marshall County Hospital

Marshall County Hospital is located at 615 Old Symsonia Road in Benton, Kentucky. Marshall County Hospital is a Joint Commission (JC) accredited facility with a 24-hour provider staffed emergency department. The hospital provides a variety of inpatient and outpatient services including: home health, digital 3D mammography, CT, MRI, lab, physical, speech and occupational therapy, wound care, surgery, orthopedics, and Rural Health Clinic services.

Life Coordinated

Located in beautiful downtown Benton, KY LIFE COORDINATED Commonwealth PACE provides best-in-class integrated care for elders in Marshall, Calloway, Fulton, Graves, Hickman and McCracken counties. PACE stands for the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly and serves as both a health plan and a medical practice focused on helping elders age in their own home’s vs a nursing home.

PACE is a model of care providing holistic and individualized care solutions from primary and specialty care to rehabilitation and hospitalization, from pharmacy to home care that allow older adults to live at home vs a nursing home with a higher quality of life and at a reduced cost. For individuals that are both Medicaid and Medicare eligible the cost is generally $0 out of pocket and most of all PACE provides social engagement and support to families caring for elders at home.
